Noémi McComber completed a Masters in visual and media arts at Chelsea College of Art (University of the Arts London) in the UK in 2002. Since 2000, she has been actively involved in artistic and curatorial projects, focusing on multidisciplinary (drawing, video, photography, performance and urban interventions) and collaborative projects. Her work has been shown at the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Art) in London, UK, and at Kunstverein Kohlenhof in Nuremberg (Germany) in 2003, at Moscow Centre for the Arts (Russia) and at Castlefield Gallery in Manchester (UK) in 2006, at L’Oeil de poisson Gallery in Québec city and at the Sherbrooke Museum of Fine Arts in 2007, as well as at La Centrale Gallery Powerhouse and B-312 in Montreal in 2009. In 2011, she presented the solo project New Flags for Old Monuments at Dare-Dare in Montreal, Acercate mas at Casa Tres Patios in Medellin, Colombia, with L'Araignée Collective and La peau du bronze, a solo exhibition at La Maison des arts de Laval. She also took part in Viva Art Action performance festival that year (2011). In 2013 she had a solo show at Optica Gallery in Montreal, presenting new video works, and took part in Corrections marginales at Studio XX. She lives and works in Montréal.
